DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the overall supervision of the General Manager and the supervision of the Head of the CDM Project Management Department and the Head of Services Department, the CDM Senior Project Manager will primarily drive and achieve the objective of successful registration of CDM projects and successful delivery of services carried out by Enecore for its clients. In particular the CDM Senior Project Manager will:
• Coordinate and review the work of Enecore CDM Project Developers along the whole project development cycle, including:
Review of PDDs with the aim to ensure the highest quality and minimize validation and registration risks;
Study and monitoring of CDM EB methodologies and secure their correct application within the PDD;
Travel to the project sites for validation, verification and as required otherwise by the PDD development;
Communication with Designated Operational Entities for validation, verification and other related matters;
Communication with Project Owners for any matter related to the preparation of the PDD as well as validation and verification of the CDM project.
• Contribute to the technical implementation of Enecore Services, including:
Review and ************ysis of accurate and complete data/documents with the aim to identify the risk that may affect the project validation, registration and CER delivery;
Performance on-site CDM audit of projects;
Drafting of report on findings from document check and on-site audit.
• Monitor and ************yze changes of the CDM framework that may affect projects in Enecore existing and building portfolio or offer new business opportunities for Enecore business, including:
Monitoring and ************ysis of changes of EB rules, revision of approved methodology and approval of new ones;
Monitoring and ************ysis of changes of local and national energy policies and markets
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Candidates should meet the following:
• Master Degree or Higher Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Economics or other technically related disciplines
• Three to five years experience in CDM project management, including the development of at least one CDM project;
• Excellent working knowledge of Vietnamese (mother tongue) and English;
• Excellent computer skills, with particular relevance to Word, Excel and Power Point
SELECTION CRITERIA Candidates will be assessed against the following:
• Relevance of work experience, with emphasis on energy auditing and power plant engineering
• Extent of study, research and work experience abroad
• Extent of knowledge of UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol regulatory frameworks
• Extent of knowledge of the Clean Development Mechanism process
• Extent of knowledge, experience and understanding of the energy sector, engineering and technology for power plants
• Extent of experience in organizing and coordinating meetings/missions and in preparing/editing written reports in English
• Demonstrated ability of working independently with minimum supervision in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated capacity of working with people of different national and cultural backgrounds
• Extent of knowledge of other foreign languages than English
